An Extended Date

AHH! Three weeks! That's it. That's only 21 days until I step on a plane that will take me overnight to ICELAND. There's so much to get done before then but I can barely contain my excitement. This is a nice snapshot of all the places I'll be going.

I think the days between now and when I leave are going to be a combo of going by in a flash and some of the longest days of my fucking life. I've had the opportunity to really travel of my own accord since that spring break trip to Costa Rica in 2011, and we planned that in the fall of my senior year. All the other trips I've taken since have probably had about a year of planning as well.  But this trip is years in the making, and well over a decade of daydreams.  I think I had hoped I wouldn't have been traveling solo for this, but honestly right now it just seems fitting. The last five years have certainly been a time-frame of self discovery and exploration and what better way to wrap up this period of growth than with an extended date with myself to see all these beautiful places I've been reading and dreaming about since I was a teen.  

I wrote out my list of things to pack this weekend, will attempt at packing it all in the one backpack I'm bringing sometime this week...I don't quite recall when I started referring to these trips of mine as adventure trips, but honestly I can't think of a better term, cuz this is most certainly going to be one hell of an adventure.
